Just Cami - Part 1

Today I took a looooooong video of Cami when I got her up from her nap.  She was so into performing for me, and I had a hard time cutting any of it out.  So I decided to just break down the almost-10 minute video into shorter increments, and I'll post them one at a time here on the blog.

I realize that I don't write alot about Cami.  I think that's because Kendall right now is so vocal, and does such funny things, it's easy to write about.  Cami is really starting to come into her own personality, though, and this video really showcases that.

While I was getting dinner ready, I noticed Kendall was very busy doing something...I just didn't know what that something was.  All I knew is my girls were playing nicely together for a long period of time, and that made me happy.  When I got a chance to check on them, this is what I found.

About a month ago, I posted a video where Kendall and I were kind of singing the "Gloria Patri." Here's another go at it. This time, with a lot less laughing. By the way, my favorite part is when she says, "Eber shall be."

Family Time at the Beach!

Last night, we decided to go to the beach, but we wanted to take Watley with us. So we went to the beach below Trump National Golf Course, which allows dogs. We had such a great time!

The Gloria Patri

We usually sing "The Gloria Patri" with Kendall just about every night as we're putting her to bed. I was putting her to bed tonight, and she was a little slap happy. I'll explain why she's laughing so much, and maybe, through the laughter, you can pick up what she's doing.

The first time I was singing it, she randomly started singing "Jesus Loves Me" during it, started cracking up, which got me cracking up. I happened to have my phone there, so I decided to take some video of this. So, I apologize for the bad quality of the video, but if you listen close enough, you can kind of hear her trying to sing "Jesus Loves Me." That's not the point of the video. The point is the laughter. I dare you not to laugh while watching this.

A Little Nursing Won't Stop Me...

...from getting really funny video of my oldest. At first, I was just enjoying watching her, but then I realized I really needed to get this on video. So, even though I was nursing Cami at the time, I still broke out the camera. That's what I call multi-tasking. So please excuse the lack of good focus and the burps and slurping you hear in the background.

Oh, and right after I took this video, she accidentally broke those sunglasses. I had to refrain myself from laughing when she said, "Oh, dear. I so sad!" when I told her they were broken. Wish I had gotten that on video, too.

Happy Mother's Day!

I just watched this video probably fifty times or so while I was editing it, and I swear, every single time, I got tears in my eyes. I'm so glad I took more video than pictures, because I will love to go back and look at this years from now - to hear the words, the voices, the laughter...those are things that pictures can't capture (and I totally didn't mean to rhyme).

I love my girls.

This is a long one, but I am never able to get Kendall to do all this stuff for the camera. So I figured I should get it all while I can. She was definitely performing. Towards the end, she does my favorite thing - she sings "Ring Around the Rosies" fast.

Cam gets baptized!

This past Sunday, we had Cameron baptized. It was a good time to do it since one set of grandparents were here to witness it.

The Lord's Prayer

I just have to brag on my daughter a little bit here. I don't know why we didn't start this sooner, but I started going over the Lord's Prayer with her a few times, and she's really picked it up quickly! I started out having her repeat the last word of every line, and now she says it by memory. It's pretty impressive!

Thankfully, she was in a pretty hyper mood and I was able to get her to do it on video for me. It's super cute. Plus, you can hear her cute little raspy voice from her cold that she's getting over.

Popcorn!

A while ago, I mentioned the new CD by the Barenaked Ladies, called "Snacktime." Kendall still loves the CD, and has a new favorite song...

Crazy Cutie

A week or so ago, I took Kendall to Averill Park again. She loves it, and knows it, because when we pull up, she starts saying "Duck!" and quacking.






Anyways, she was a little hyper this day, and went absolutely crazy while we were there, and I have video to prove it.



Oh, and if anyone thinks I'm being over protective, telling her to slow down or be careful while she's running, she's not the most graceful person ever, and she tends to fall alot when it comes to running, especially on uneven, cracked sidewalks. Ironicially, she didn't fall at all until immediately after this picture. She got up from this little bench and fell, skinning both of her knees.
