Yosemite

Okay, so I'm a little behind in posting...I've been busy with my new hobby. Check out my other blog for details.

July 4th weekend, we went up to Yosemite. To sum up...it was AMAZING. We're already talking about when we can go back. We did about as much as you can do in the time that we had with 2 small children. We camped, hiked, drove, hiked, saw bears, saw deer, hiked...one thing we didn't do a lot of is sleep. But it was worth it.

I won't post a lot about details, because I don't think too many people care about those...so, I'll just say that the three main places we went is Yosemite Valley (that's with all the waterfalls and best views of Half Dome), Tuolomne Meadows, and Mariposa Grove (sequoias).

oh, ps, i just took a course with carrie here at a local community college. it was a one-day hundred dollar class where they teach you how to use your slr to get the best photos using manual settings. it might be worth finding one there, even i learned a ton!

  7. cheri, a girl from the quilt guild has talked about her dad doing something like that if we can get enough interest in it. he's a professional photographer, and i think he'd only charge us $40 for a day-long class. it's definitely something i want to do.

john, you should! trust me, i don't know how to use my camera, but these are the pictures i take. if i knew a little someting, my pictures would be so much better.
