Part Deuce

So, for those on pins and needles, we ended up go to Wendover, which is a very mini-Vegas. I think they have 2 casinos. When we were there, Grant and I weren't sure if we were in Utah or Nevada, so we asked the cashier. She said the parking lot was Utah, but inside the casino was Nevada. Huh?

Anyway, it took us about an hour and a half to get there, and we stayed for about an hour. We each gambled $20. Grant lost all of his on roulette, and after I had lost about $15, I came back, and in total only lost $6. It was a nice little excursion for us. Good practice for when we go to Vegas in June.

One thing happened on the way back to the base, that just reinstates what Pinks and I always say about our husbands....

We stopped at a rest area and saw a sign that said, "Watch for snakes and scorpions." Grant got out of the car, and immediately went over to the bushes and started kicking them, hoping he would see a snake or a scorpion. Is this not boy behavior?

Pinky and I are always saying that our men are just big kids. This is an observation, more than a criticism. Actually, I think it's a good trait for a husband to have--to be a big kid. It makes life fun, and keeps things interesting.

so, i am wondering if your "big kid" had a hand in your title? I can't help but think of ...well... you know!

Anyway, I agree with you about the big kid being an observation and not a criticism. There are those out there who might think it a bad thing - but I think it keeps life fun and interesting.

We went to Wendover when we lived in Utah. I just remember how smokey it was in the casinos. Our big game was Bingo! We used to play in college - does that date us or what?

Actually, I came up with the title myself. I was thinking "Part 2" then I wanted to be clever, so I was gonna put "Part Deux" which made me think of Deuce. I figured at least Grant and SixBit would get a kick out of it.

Hmm, I don't know about Bingo. I'd never played Roulette before, and it was really fun! I lost my first $5 playing slots, and didn't even win one quarter!! I've always heard Roulette has terrible odds, but they're much greater odds than the slots!
