You always hear "Spring has sprung," but you never hear "fall has fallen." This was a conversation that Grant and I had the other day, and I thought it was clever. Although, he did go onto say, "winter has winteren," so...
Anyways, it's late, but fall has finally come. It's beautiful here. I'm hoping the leaves hold on just a few more days until my mom gets here next week.
Gorgous pix--you gotta love the Midwest this time of year!
ReplyDeleteIn the case of winter, I think it would be: "winter has won" because where you live it always does win.
i was wondering if ater is like winteren - what do you think Grant?
ReplyDeletei think it pretty much is.
ReplyDeleteWell I can't speak for Grant, but I guess I will. I always thought "ater" was a noun, like, "What did you have for ater?" But winteren is definitely a verb, so they're similar but different. I do think winteren should be allowed in scrabble though.
ReplyDeleteno, no, no...ater is definitely a verb. "what did you ater?"
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Kelly and it just goes to show you that Yo needs a little more schooling - wouldn't you agree?!!
ReplyDeleteAnd i don't think winteren should be allowed in scrabble - especially speed scrabble - where is Mike when you need him?!!
