Bored in England

So, I'm here in England, and I'm bored. How dumb is that? I have good reason, though. Grant is at work, and I'm stuck at the hotel. It's a super-nice hotel, but it's out in the middle of nowhere. I could take the rental car into town, but I'm scared to death to drive it. Grant had enough trouble 1)remembering to stay on the left side, 2)learning how to go around round-abouts, and 3)learning how to shift with his left hand, so I don't really want to bother with all of it. If we were close to town, I would take a bus in, but no buses come out here. It's probably a good thing, anyway, because Grant and I went into town and they had this huge outlet mall. Because Grant was there, I refrained from buying anything--ANYTHING! If I went by myself, I probably wouldn't be able to help myself. Evidentally, this is the big sale season in England, so everything is really cheap.

I went to the gym for about an hour yesterday, but today I'm just not feeling it. So, I'm writing postcards and getting our itinerary figured out for when we go to London tomorrow and Friday--where we will be doing plenty of shopping, despite what Grant thinks. I'm planning to go to 2 outdoor markets, plus Harrod's and any other place that looks like good shopping.

So how bored am I? Well, I've avoided starting a blog until today.

But really, we've done so much up until yesterday and today, I don't really feel too bad about being bored. It's been nice to have a little break.
