Living in a hotel has its benefits. We get HBO. That means, I get caught up on movies that I've never seen. Some of them, like Dreamgirls, I never really wanted to see, but I didn't have anything else to do, so I watched it anyway.
The best thing I've seen so far, is a documentary called Hear and Now. It follows a 65-year-old deaf married couple, who decides to get cochlear implants, so they can hear. I caught myself several times with my jaw open, following along with this fascinating story.
I know a lot of people that read my blog probably don't have HBO, so here's a link. There's a synopsis of their story, and a video clip. I highly, highly recommend this to anyone. But just a word of caution - have a tissue box handy!
where's the link?!?
