Pottery Barn style for less

I was in Pottery Barn the other day, drooling over all the beautiful things. I came across a table decorated for Easter, and it was just so interesting and creative! So, I started looking at prices for all the goodies, and realized that unless these things went on serious sale, I wouldn't recreate the look. Basically, on the dining room table, they had a vase with several cherry blossom stems in it, with colorful, sparkly easter eggs hanging from the branches.

The next day, I was at Michael's looking for something totally separate, and I found some colorful, sparkly easter eggs for a fraction of the price! They also had some sparkly mini eggs. So, then I was on the hunt for cherry blossom stems. Not only were they WAY cheaper than at Pottery Barn, but they were 50% off! I also bought a vase to put it all in.

All in all, I spent about $30 to almost exactly duplicate this Pottery Barn look that would have cost over $200 (which is just outrageous).

  1. It's all SO LOVELY!!! You are such a good decorateur. I love the painting on the back wall. Did you do that? (Which, I already know the answer, because you are an awesome decorateur and you can recreate anything you see!)
I love it all. Wanna come decorate my house? :o)

melissa, i'm a good copycat. i take no credit for anything i've done! i did do the painting, but even that was a copy of something i saw on top design.
